Tanks at Flers

The Tanks at Flers is a seminal work on the first ever use of tanks in battle on 15 September 1916. First published in 1996, it was out of print for many years. The Tank Museum inherited the rights from the author’s widow and commissioned a new author to produce a second edition. This involved a thorough update, new content and a complete redesign. We produced a collectors’ limited edition large format hardback book contained in a high quality presentation box with a selection of facsimile trench maps.

“This is a very welcome revised edition of what had become essential reading and reference for anyone seriously interested in the First World War and/or history and development of armoured warfare. Most highly recommended.” (Military Historical Society Journal)
